Erin Rellinger, Au.D., CCC-A

Audiologist

Dr. Erin Rellinger received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She completed her clinical fellowship at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing and graduated summa cum laude from Elmira College in New York.

Dr. Rellinger is a licensed audiologist in the state of Georgia and a member of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). She carries the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), which is awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also a member of the Georgia Academy of Audiology (GAA).

Dr. Rellinger’s clinical experience includes graduate student training at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, CA; two semesters at the Spencer T. Olin Clinic in St. Louis, MO; two semesters at the Center for Advanced Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis; a semester at St. Louis Children’s Hospital; a semester at the Dizziness and Balance Center at Washington University in St. Louis; and a full year at the House Research Institute in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Rellinger was the recipient of a T-35 Student Research Grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and studied environmental, ototoxic, and genetic age-related and noise-induced hearing loss. Dr. Rellinger moved to Atlanta in 2012 and worked in an ear, nose and throat clinic and a non-profit clinic prior to joining The Eye Consultants of Atlanta in 2014.

Dr. Rellinger knows the importance of hearing health care based on her own personal experience. Having a mother with hearing loss, she knew from a very early age that she wanted to work with families just like her own. She began working at a local audiology clinic in Severna Park, MD, at the age of 14, where she received excellent mentoring that led to a career focused on personalized hearing care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Rellinger enjoys spending her free time hiking, painting, sewing, and playing the piano and guitar. She lives in Marietta with her husband, two daughters, and rescue dog.

Lacey Sharp (Behn), Au.D., CCC-A

Audiologist

Dr. Lacey Sharp received her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida.

Dr. Sharp is a licensed audiologist in the state of Georgia and a member of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). She carries the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), which is awarded by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also a member of the Georgia Academy of Audiology (GAA). Dr. Sharp has won the Academy Scholar Award in both 2019 and 2020 for completing over 50 hours of continuing education.

Dr. Sharp has been the Secretary for GAA since 2016 and will serve as President of GAA from 2021-2022. She is also the 2020-2023 Chair of the AAA Political Action Committee.

Dr. Sharp’s clinical experience includes a professional externship at the Atlanta VA Medical Center Audiology Clinic. Following her externship, she worked at Emory University Hospital alongside the Emory Neuro-otology team from 2016-2018. Dr. Sharp then worked at a local private practice, Audiological Consultants of Atlanta, prior to joining Eye Consultants of Atlanta in 2021.

Dr. Sharp lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and her dog, Eve. She enjoys soccer, Florida Gators football, water sports, baking, and traveling. Dr. Sharp enjoys working with adults, geriatrics, and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). She understands the importance of diagnosing and treating hearing loss as she has an uncle with profound hearing loss.

Aubree Hampton

Audiology Assistant

As the Audiology Assistant for the Hearing Center, Aubree ensures that hearing aid orders and repairs arrive in a timely manner. Her goal is to brighten your day by greeting you in the office and helping you troubleshoot hearing aid issues on the phone and in person. She enjoys learning about the cutting-edge technology in the hearing world and teaching our patients how to use their devices. Our patients will get to know Aubree as she works side by side with our Audiologists through their appointments. She carries a strong skill set in the areas of hearing aid cleaning, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. Many of our patients get to know Aubree when questions arise between their appointments with their Audiologist.

Aubree was drawn to the field of audiology due to her mother and grandparents struggling with hearing loss. She quickly became passionate about helping as many people as possible and educating her community about the importance of hearing healthcare. She is pursuing further education to become a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist to better serve our patients.

Aubree’s hobbies include reading, gardening, hiking, painting, and spending time with her husband, daughter and pets.

Aubree joined Eye Consultants of Atlanta in 2017.

Kayla Higgins

Patient Care Coordinator

As the Patient Care Coordinator for the Hearing Center, Kayla is the first person to greet you at the front desk and the first voice you hear when you call. She has worked in healthcare for over 15 years and enjoys helping people. She has a wide array of skills including excellent customer service, insurance and billing. Our patients get to know Kayla as she schedules all our appointments and answers any questions that patients may have before or after their appointment. Kayla runs our day-to-day operations at the front desk!

Kayla was drawn to our office because of it’s small, tight-knit staff and has enjoyed learning all there is to know about audiology due to her husband having hearing loss. Kayla lives in Douglasville with her husband and two wonderful fur babies. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Kayla joined Eye Consultants of Atlanta in 2021.
